i have been looking for a very long time........ most of the used hohners seem to be in C or G. if anyone sees or has anything, you cant let me know. This will be my first instrument, and i mainly play quebecois and newfy reels and stuff. Thanks

The Button Box shop in Massachusetts is currently selling a 4-stop in C, and a 3-stop in D.
 
If you want the C box to play in D, they may be willing to change the tuning before shipping it.

Since you are in Alberta you may prefer to order from a canadian seller. He has the 114 in D in stock.
Check Wilson Music in Newmarket (north of Toronto):

ah, thanks quebecois, a decent melodeon seller in Canada! but im just debating whether getting a chinese made 114 would at all be a problem?

The new 114's seem to be well built 'despite' their chinese fabrication. I tried one and could not find any fault. Nothing to do with other cheapos like the Ariette. The 114 seem to be at par with the current Pokerwork in terms of build quality and sound.

well, thanks for all your help! I finally went through and bought a new 114 in D from the free reed cafe. It will probably be here in a week, i cannot stand the wait :'(!
