Yep, that's La Bal Marine. I believe the great Parisian player Marc Perrone has something to do with this, though whether he wrote it or simply arranged it for diatonic accordion, I couldn't say.

The A part is HERE on The Session site. Listening to the mechanical playing of the abc version and the live playing on the video is a good example of the effect of emphasis being discussed in another thread. Nobody could mistake this as anything other than a waltz.

Ive been on The Session site a time or two now, and I dont seem able to click on anything that will make music play!!  Embarrassed  I can see sheet music and ABC but I dont hear music.  Helllllllllpp!!

Hi Lin,

If you don't have abc software on your computer you can copy the abc from The Session screen and paste it into the ABC Convert-A-Matic on the concertina.net site to hear it as a MIDI or print it as a nice looking PDF.

I think you need to be logged in to see the download tab when looking at a tune. This tab lets you download a pdf and play a midi file.

Listening to the mechanical playing of the abc version and the live playing on the video is a good example of the effect of emphasis being discussed in another thread.

The midi file is of course execrable, and not nice to look at either. But it doesn't speed up when it gets to the notey passages... Wink
