Hello,

Where is the accordion located please (I assume it's in the Euro zone)?  And does the price include shipping to the US?

Thanks,

PG

This seems different from the standard layout given on this page  http://www.accordion101.com/ which has:
- 1st button : low G# push and pull
- 2nd button : C push and pull
- 3rd : D# push and pull
- 4th : high G# push and pull

Hi,
On www.accordion101 we have exactly this for Bouchard accordion, D : , the keys are paired two by two (1+2 and 3+4) and André Bouchard say : http://forum.melodeon.net/index.php/topic,4912.msg62240.html#msg62240.
I'm sorry my english is bad!

Hi,
With this layout you play with the four major keys are: Sol, D, A, E, and the three minor keys are A minor, E minor and C minor # with a full scale in at least one octave.

Aaaaaaah! So it's just a fine tuning for the fingering thing? I suppose that having the right buttons closer to where they actually need to be in particular circumstances makes for easier playing of fast bits for those with the requisite skills; very good!
Thanks for the explanation.

I don't think it is possible to have these four extra notes on the push and pull, there is only twelve pallets to go with the fourteen buttons of the treble. So there is some sharing going on, I can't say what is going on or understand from the link you posted. Hopefully someone can explain.

Actually I do now ( I should have looked before posting)
I got this from another thread
http://forum.melodeon.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=192.0;attach=174;image
Edited:
I guess the only question now is does the reed on button one inside row then sound a C nat on the pull and the next button then give a G# on the push? I only ask because the diagram makes it look as if you only have one direction on each button.

The first two buttons on the four button row are G# on the push and Cnat on the draw. They work in unison meaning when you
push one the other moves also. The third and fourth work in unison also and are G# on the push and Eb on the draw. Having the buttons work together gives you the option of using either button, whichever is the most convenient fingering. And it actually works quite well.
