Sean Rafferty is joined in the studio by folk legends Martin Carthy and John Kirkpatrick before their gig at Cecil Sharp House, the Corran Quartet perform live in the studio and we chat to conductor Tom Hammond and composer Bernard Hughes about their new CD ‘Not Now Bernard’.
On now 16 jan 1700 to 1900...
I expect this will be added to radio i player soon....

I've just pushed play, and am hearing the headlines and weather so don't know how far in "the good stuff" is...

Thanks for sharing this, Gary. Glad that the BBC Sounds is not geographically locked as these things often are.

Carthy and Kirkpatrick also feature at 33:25 with more chat and playing the Waterman's Hornpipe (which was great to hear them play live). And then again at 49:20 for the Rambling Comber (which I did not realize is in 5/4 time!).
