I dont know anyone with one I can have a look inside and Google images turns up nothing but does anyone know if there's a photo of a Corona bass mechanism online anywhere?.

As I've said elsewhere, I've got a Club II and an Erika I want to convert to 12 basses and I'm wondering about the possibility of using Corona bass mechanisms, which I'm hoping I'll be able to obtain through someone authorised to deal in Hohner spares and get to fit with a little bending of the levers, and I'd like to be able to get a look at one before I spend anything in case it won't go.

I don't suppose a Corona II bass end would fit directly on a Corso or Club III?

That is different from some Corona bass mechanisms,  which have only 3 chord reeds, and no reeds shared between bass and chord.

Thanks, Michik.

Hmm, that is quite different. The 8 bass Club mechanism has 3 chord reeds covered by trapezoidal pallets and large square ones covering the bass reeds underneath them with no sharing.

Another course of action could be to drill the extra holes, one set at each end, shift the existing mechanism over to one end and then get an 8 bass mechanism, from another Club or a Pokerwork if it's similar, and cut it in half to serve the remaining 4 buttons. Any thoughts?.

New Corona bass mechanism from Hohner.   I have a spare one if you want it.   Will need to check the price.
