If that's the one I saw, it actually went unsold the first time it was listed, then sold with only one bid.   I wondered the same, why are people fighting over an 8 bass one, and ignoring the 12 bass.    MAD indeed.

I understand the reasons that B/C/C# players might prefer the "mini-stradella" 12-bass double-rays. But I have also heard of 12 bass ones that had the basses arranged like a Corona II, changing pitch with bellows direction. Anyone on this forum have that model?

Paul
Hi Paul,

That would be a rare beast indeed. I've certainly never seen/heard of one. Possibly an Erica variant?

Yes, I looked back the completed listings and it's the same one. It didn't register on my radar first time round - I wouldn't have been interested at the price asked (nor anyone else, it seems).

Every Scottish button box player should have a Hohner Double Ray.

Maybe that's why I was obsessed with the Double Ray myself Cheesy
Congratulations Bill!

well, the 12 bass did all right in the end. As I said in another thread, if anyone has a 12 bass for less than the other one went for ($910 US), send me a pm.

I have a 12 bass double ray too.  I got it for similar price to what Bill paid.  A red 2 voice one.  I would like the deluxe version that has been advertised on here but my cash is limited at the moment.
