Dermot Byrne's name came up in the Briggs discussion. I found two videos which present the interesting and rare opportunity to watch an excellent player at two different stages (and ages).
Age 13 -- blazing triplets! Handles the shift from reel to a Scotch snap pretty well, too.

Great playing yes, but why are the audience in the second clip all sitting down, they should up dancing.
