Here we go again folks - what tune shall we play? We had a tie for 2nd place last month, so let's bring them both back into the poll!
Jack Robinson - taken from Lester's wonderful Tune a Day blog - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10QRPjz-358
Pixie Wings - written by fine US concertina player, Jody Kruskal; there's no melodeon youtube of it yet that I'm aware of, but here's as clear a recording of the concertina original that you could hope for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMkIhDrb4-c and Jody has thoughtfully provided written music here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a2y2iznwn1rlbqq/25%20Pixie%20Wings%20youtube%20version.pdf
and a couple more to join the party!
Kristjani Reilender - nominated by Owen and Ollie - a tune from Estonia; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H83TvjTJeXs
... and here's Owen's transcription to D/G ABC:

Have a listen to this recording of Kristjani Reilender - a bit easier to hear it.

And played on a Garmon, nicely done.

Sad that whatever I nominate seems to have the kiss of death however good the tune is. I'll not bother again!

Don't be disheartened. It's a matter of personal taste. Personally I don't want Jack Robinson to win because I like all of the other tunes. I mean I really like Hot Punch but didn't actually vote for it... And you could always do a recording of your favourite anyway and stick that up with a recording of the winner... I don't suppose anyone is going to mind if you do that.

Frustrating, isn't it? The number of times I've tried and failed to get Midnight on the Water voted in, and it took me *ages* to get Spirit of the Dance in there. All part of the fun; chin up and keep nominating those great tunes!

Even though i was supporting JR, and noticing that it has just crept into the lead, I have removed my vote for it. I am not going to have time this month to contribute and with it all being quite finely balanced I didn't think it was fair for my vote to stay in.
