Anyone know if a Giordy sized gig bag is available? Haven't needed one up to now as playing has been a secret vice carried out in the privacy of my basement but having attended the Lewes Slow and Steady session last night I now have the urge to get out more often.....(it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be) :Ph

A small camera bag would probably do the job; I don't know of a specific bag myself, though someone else might know better!

One of these is an exact fit. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0016J8PTC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00)

This case (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JDDM44K?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00) is a perfect fit and allows you to carry your Giordy in a normal rucksack along with all your other stuff.

Thanks Lester and Helena, I'll check them out.

I use a PC World own brand (sandstrom) SLR camera bag. Just adjust the partitions and it gives the perfect fit and padded protection for the Giordy. It's nothing to write home about in the beauty stakes but it does the job perfectly and is fairly inexpensive.

Steelarts, thanks. Nipped into PC World and got a Sandstrom and I've sent for the one you suggested Helena (in case I venture further than Brighton with a backpack ) (:)
-
Please say that you took the Giordy with you to PC World ;D
Glad you enjoyed Tuesday - just have to attend the 'regular' sessions next ;)
-
Yes Nick, made sure she fitted nice and snug...and yes to the regular sessions... (:)

The bag recommended by Helena arrived today and is great, well padded, well made and a snip at £6ish, postage paid, and it arrived from Hong Kong in six days from one clicking it. Unlike a second hand book dealer on Amazon who has taken 12 days to not deliver a book and sends snotty emails if you ask where it is..blah blah...feel so much better for that.... ;D

Second hand booksellers are a law unto themselves Brian. 8)

In case anyone's still looking, I've just bought this one, which arrived in just a few days and is a perfect fit. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11050.m43.l1123/7?euid=60039ee4369241ae88f64504f5611cad&bu=43460502871&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fpages.ebay.com%2Flink%2F%3Fnav%3Ditem.view%26id%3D181962414761%26alt%3Dweb%26globalID%3DEBAY-GB%26referrer%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F0%252Fe11050.m43.l1123%252F7%253Feuid%253D60039ee4369241ae88f64504f5611cad%2526bu%253D43460502871%2526cp%253D1%2526sojTags%253Dbu%253Dbu (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11050.m43.l1123/7?euid=60039ee4369241ae88f64504f5611cad&bu=43460502871&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fpages.ebay.com%2Flink%2F%3Fnav%3Ditem.view%26id%3D181962414761%26alt%3Dweb%26globalID%3DEBAY-GB%26referrer%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F0%252Fe11050.m43.l1123%252F7%253Feuid%253D60039ee4369241ae88f64504f5611cad%2526bu%253D43460502871%2526cp%253D1%2526sojTags%253Dbu%253Dbu)

I just stuff it in my bagpack usually, or in the sidepocket of one of normal box-gigbag. Or add it to my pipes gigbag. It fits anywhere, really :-)

I took mine to the posh camera shop and the guy said "OMG a melodeon - what key?" Which given the population count of the things in NZ, was a bit on the weird side!
