Title: Saltarelle Killaloe
Post by: Robin on December 22, 2015, 11:17:34 PM
Hi there,

Iwein Jacob from Accordeons-Viseur lent me this nice Saltarelle Killaloe for a month so I could have a go at the C#/D Irish accordion system. It's just been fitted with new reeds and it plays very nicely.

I had quite a bit of fun playing it so I thought I'd made a small video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZKi7boZuFM

It's an interesting instrument with 25 (!) keys on the right side (you can actually play 3 octaves in D) & 12 bass.
It's not in Saltarelle's catalogue anymore. Wonder why the stopped making it...

Has anyone on this forum ever played that model?

Isn't that bizarre, one's just turned up on a French website.

(:) Accordeons Viseur is an accordion shop, they sell accordions. No doubt about that (I posted the link in the video).

I still think it's an interesting model. Worth a discussion in this section of the forum.
