Post by: Sedonaleodeon on February 24, 2017, 07:04:22 PM
Please would anyone be willing to share with me the keyboard layout for a newly acquired B/C CIACY?

Shortcut to internalizing the layout of a semitone box.

Your inside row is in C. Shouldn't take you long to figure out which note is which.

What's on the B row? Well, finger any note on the C row as your reference, move over to the B row (diagonally slightly chinwards), and the note played in the same bellows direction as your reference note on the C row is a semitone below that reference note.

E.g. G is on the push; push the adjacent button on the B row for F#.   E (on the C row) is on the push; push adjacent button on the B row for Eb (or D#).

A is on the pull; pull the adjacent B-row button for Ab (or G#). D is a pull note; pull the adjacent B-row button for C#.

That's how I figured it all out, anyway - much easier for me to get my head around than a diagram with lots of #s everywhere.
