Send me your SAE anytime, as in my PM. 40p each.
If I have missed anyone, please PM me.
I have 12 of the 50 left. If anyone else wants in please PM me.

I made sure there was enough postage to ensure it safely cross the international boundary ;D
Will let you know when they arrive, and thanks again Greg for doing this.
Gun Jumper ;)

I've just returned from sending my money and envelope off. I needed to put a 79p 2nd class stamp on each. Perhaps because I used (pre-used, you know me!) padded envelopes, which wouldn't fit through the narrower of the gaps on his gauge?

Blimey, is 2nd class post in the UK really 79p? 1st class airmail from Cyprus to UK is 67 (euro) cents.........

Many thanks Greg. I will get the envelopes and cash away over the weekend.
Cheers,
Robin

I think was for padded envelopes and things. I expected something a bit more prosaic.

I decided to use padded envelopes to ensure our luverly brand spanking new badges got safely to me.
If anyone got a glimpse of their shiny loveliness I know they wouldn't be able to resist....
Apparently 8)

s.a.e. & 80p posted off today.

Sent mine. Trust me to use old, non standard envelopes - cost extra and me a Yorkshireman...could have put the extra pennies towards my next instrument ! And I splashed out on first-class post...

You have to speculate...
-
"I splashed out on first-class post..."
Now, that was rash! Especially when the 2nd class probably will get there beforehand.

Your badges are on their way.

Thank you. I'll see them when I get back from Whitby, those and my newly acquired Liliput! (I just had to find out what all the fuss is about the little bleeders)
-
Badges sent to Nick, Julian, Martin and Robin.
-
Postie says they do need large letter stamps
-
Do I owe you something for postage as I only attached a std 2nd class stamp?
-
Badges sent to Vince, Sue, Jacko and Gren.
-
Not seen any in Whitby in 3 days (except mine)
-
I would have worn mine at Whitby, but I couldn't get to them till I got back home last night! I'm over-the-moon with them, many thanks to all involved.
-
Badges sent to Anne and Michael.

Hi Greg,
Mine have arrived this morning - they're great!
Thanks for doing this for us Melnetters.
Cheers
Q

Mine have arrived safely as well - another vote of thanks for Greg

Now all we need is someone who can knock up some stickers, with glue that won't damage our instruments when they're pulled off!
-
Greg, many thanks, my badges arrived safely a couple of days ago.
Much appreciate that you took this on, nice one.

I thought I'd spotted you sporting one in the distance (:) but was tied up with the Morris :|||: so couldn't catch up with you to say "hello".
Thank you Greg, the envelope arrived on the mat today, found it as we all staggered in after the parade this evening and will be wearing one tomorrow ;D

Would Avery work, or are they too permanent?
[Edit: I think they are removable with an alcohol rub, but I've never tried it]
-
"Would Avery work"
I thought they made shop scales? Or, to put it another way, I've no idea whatsoever!
I had thought that the vinyl sticker man who has replaced signwriting would be the easiest, but they may be too expensive.

Avery are THE supplier for label blanks. Removable adhesive paper blanks would cost about £6 plus postage for box of 20 sheets. I have a friend with a laser printer who might help.
Commercial manufacture is cheap per label but minimum order quantities seem to be £40 (for 500 plastic labels).
I have another friend with a printing business. I could ask him for options.
Is there any interest
-
Depending on cost, I'd have a few. Don't know how many just now, as it's past my bedtime!
My printer mate (from our youth) retired last year, and he specialised in labels, b****r!

Cost of removable adhesive plastic labels, 40mm dia, printed, is about 8p each plus postage. But minimum order is £40ish, which is 25 sheets of 18 labels. If they're moved on by the sheet this would come to £1.60 a sheet plus postage (A4 envelope), which seems reasonable to me.
I think we need about 23 more people interested.
-
I'd take a sheet, and if the order proved to be difficult to make up, I'd take another as well.
-
(:) I'll have a sheet too please
-
New thread started in buy and sell (don't know if that's an appropriate place. Leave it up to Theo to decide). If you're interested, please post there.
