Sorry if this has been asked before, but searching for 'John Spiers melodeons' brings up rather too many forum topics! What kind (make, keys, bass layout) of melodeons does John Spiers use on the Spiers & Boden 'Tunes' album, and what's the very lovely looking and sounding squeeze-box that he uses for example in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgyDQqiM7bU
Thanks,
Warren.

Pretty sure it's a Saltarelle Connemara II, John's layout is available here on melnet (http://forum.melodeon.net/files/site/DG23plus4spiers.gif).
From memory the sleeve notes from the albums detail the melodeons used on each track.

Thanks Helena. I did look at my CD sleeve and couldn't see anything, unless I'm missing something (not impossible without my reading glasses on!).

I don't think that is the layout that John actually uses.
[Edit: To be more accurate, I know it isn't, because Squeezy said so, when I asked him about it. Had a look for the post, but haven't found it, I'm afraid. A few years ago. Might be worth pm-ing him. He's a pretty helpful sort of chap. ]

Saltarelle Connemara II
Hmm, fancy one of those, but that price tag, ouch...
