I spotted this in the Facebook ABC Notation Users' Group and thought it might be of interest.
Phil Taylor, creator of BarFly (a great ABC application for Mac that was no longer compatible after MacOS 10.6.8) said:

Please note that:
It’s not code signed, so your system will tell you that it’s by an unknown developer. Of course it has no malicious code in it but you’ll have to trust me on that. The first time you run it, right-click on the app and choose ‘Open’. This gives you the opportunity to override Gatekeeper, after which it will run normally.
It’s 32 bit code, so recent versions of OSX will occasionally tell you that it’s not optimized for this system.
For the same reason, it won’t run on OSX Catalina (Apple are about to kill it all over again).
If you’ve never used BarFly before, start by opening up the Start Here! file from the BarFly Help menu and read on!
I have not had time to update the help files yet (they are very extensive), but most of the stuff in there still applies.
It does not need to be registered, it’s free and will remain free.

That's good news - Barfly was always my preferred ABC software.
However, I note Phil Taylor's comment that OS Catalina (already released) will not support the new 32-bit Barfly ::). Perhaps Pete, you could persuade him to getting busy on a 64-bit version!? (:)
