Title: Posting links.
Post by: Keithypete. on March 25, 2010, 01:44:04 PM
I don't know why when I post a web link it sometimes fails to go blue and become 'active'. This shows how basic and limited are my IT skills but maybe there is a simple solution.

If you're posting via PC then when you type out your link, highlight it (click & drag), then click the button above all the smiley icons - the one with the globe on it - that'll put the "url" and "/url" tags around that link, and voila, it'll turn blue and be active.  ;D

Hope that helps.

You can also use the "code" tag (# icon)  to allow you show tags etc that will not be interpreted, but will be displayed literally.  Saves a lot of textual gymnastics!

Code: [Select]
do it this way here
