I was wondering if it were possible to take a HOHNER DOUBLE RAY G/C and have it retuned to B/C? Would it simply be a matter of retuning the same reeds (which I assume is simple for someone who knows what they're doing) or would it require a complete new set of reeds? :-\

I'm sure you'll get loads of better informed replies - but, just to set the ball rolling, I rather doubt you'll get away with simply retuning the reeds.
I don't do B/C but I thought that B/C was the standard tuning for Double Rays? If so, yours may have already been modified to G/C. Selling it as G/C might be an option, then get another in B/C.
Assuming the C row is the same - others will soon say if it's not - and without looking at tuning charts I think you are looking at replacing at least some reeds, it maybe possible to shuffle others around.

It is possible.
The first button on the C row needs to be changed, and on the G row many of the reeds are close enough to be retuned, with a couple of new reeds required at the high end. Or you can fit a new set of B row reeds. Three of the four bass pairs are the same, and the third can be changed.

Thank you very much for that information, gives me a better understanding. I don't actually own a G/C but I noticed that Hobgoblin has one for sale on eBay and was wondering what would be involved in changing it over, may not be worth it as I have no idea of the cost involved.

If you are after a B/C it's indeed much simpler to get one than trying to convert a box from another tuning !
