My new Loffet has yielded a tune! A mazurka called The Red Room (so called because my room is red. :P)

Enjoy. :)

Just got round to this one...very nice.

Anything else lately...?

I've just written a new tune for the first time in what seems like ages. Dedicated to our delightful (ha!) boiler.

Another new tune from me. Petrichor is the name for the smell of rain on dry earth, one of my favourite smells.

Not a problem! All part of the living tradition and all that.

Ha, I probably do very, very, very distantly (don't we all?), but nothing immediate. I do listen to a lot of Scandinavian music though.  (:)

Spent the weekend with man-flu; wallowing in self-pity and trying not to sneeze onto the melodeon. On the plus side I came up with a waltz!
The reed response on this box is a tad variable, so it took me a couple of days to get the playing down well enough to record it ;D

A reel I wrote a couple of days ago, played today in an empty classroom at work.

It's called the Munhwa Reel.

Well done. I never dare play mine for 4 minutes, I know I'll mess up. So well done on tune and playing.

Here's a tune that's been sitting around in Soundcloud for a while. I'm not sure whether I wrote it or whether it's just an amalgam of remembered snippets....  https://soundcloud.com/mrkoilani/untitled

Among others, Saltarelle Pastourelle II D/G; Hohner 4-stop 1-rows in C & G; assorted Hohners; 3-voice German (?) G/C of uncertain parentage; lovely little Hlavacek 1-row Heligonka; B♭/E♭ Koch undergoing a rebuild. Also Fender Jazz bass, Telecaster, Stratocaster, Epiphone Sheraton, Charvel-Jackson 000-style acoustic guitar and other stuff..........

I wrote and recorded a nice little tune this week (imo) , I have called it Little Lucia.

Its quite simple and might yet evolve into a bit more, but I have done it 'as is' for now so I don't forget it!  ;)

Here is the you tube link, (complete with melodeon face  :o)
