A new one, "Le frigo vide" "the empty fridge". Sad story, you want to drink a beer after a hard working day but when you open the fridge you realise that you forget to go to the shop because you play too much melodeon... :(

Two tunes, first one is an "air", second is my first attempt at writing a tune in 6/8.

One of mine, "The Bellbird".  The idea of posting it came from here, but this forum doesn't have a built-in ABC renderer, so I posted it to another forum that does:

http://theocarinanetwork.com/topic/7342436/

But I'm not a squeezer.  Is it reasonably melodeon-friendly in either key?

Sadlly it's impossible to see it if you're not a member of theocarinanetwork... But you can post your abc file in text form here, then we can access the score by an online abc program like this one http://www.mandolintab.net/abcconverter.php

OK, here goes.  I hadn't realized that forum made the generated staff notation private.

I prefer it in G but for most of the squeezers here, A is more feasible.

I think that due to chord progression and presence of a C natural, A will be ok on G/C box (with only G# as accidental), And so E for D/G boxes, D for C/F, B for A/D...

Thanks Old Jack !

I just start a blog to regroup my videos and put scores of my tunes both in dots and abc, but for the moment i have do this only for two tunes (Nous avons tant partagé and L'après-midi en terrasse), and it's not an easy task for me as my knowledge of solfege is not so good (but it's really a good exercise)...
So, i think that now i have no choice, Une boite de sardine et du gros plant will be the next. ;)

The blog is here : http://pousser-tirer.blogspot.fr

Blog is in french only (but there is not a lot of blabla...), scores in dots are in Partition format PNG, those in abc are in Partition format ABC.

If anyone see any mistake in my transcriptions, please tell me.

Thanks again. :||:

and dots are here : http://pousser-tirer.blogspot.fr/p/blog-page.html

It's in Bm, played on the A row of an A/D box, if you want it in another key feel free to ask.

Thank you for the ABC. I dropped your composition down to Am and it plays well on my one row in C. Nice on my Anglo CG also. I'm fond of tinned sardines but the "Gros Plant" foils Google translate (maybe it's just me). Is there an equivalent in English, American dialect or otherwise? What ever. It's now in my book of tunes to remember.

Wow... Thank you for that, I'm truly honored !  (:) :||:
If you make a recording, please tell me...
Gros Plant is a particular white wine from the Nantes area, his full name is Gros-plant-du-pays-nantais, and it's particulary appreciate with shellfish and sea food, but I like it as well with sardines, IMO it can replace advantageously his neighbor Muscadet.

MAZURKA: "GILLY'S BIRTHDAY"
http://youtu.be/eIr_oz3HIGY

New tune from walking in Greece, then much modified when I got back home to try it on the box.
I hope it's got a bit of Naragonia influence, with those little gaps. It was Gilly's 78th by the way.
Hope you like it.

Look forward to checking some of these out when I can get on YouTube.

Here's a kind of mockup I slung together after listening to Flook...though there's not actually any melodeon on it TBH.  ;)

Nameless folky tune

I bought a new box  ;D

I found a couple of mazurkas lurking in it ... funny how each box seems to create its own tune.  ???

Anyway, here they are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlbU26Ud2Yo

It's a CF box, btw ... I thought it was a Mory ... turns out it's actually a Sessy.
I'd never heard of them before, but am very glad I've got one  :D

Hope you like the tunes.
