I think I need to confess that with each new episode of Lester's videos I first look to see if he's closed those drawers on his right-hand side yet. I'll probably need therapy by the end of the month ... or will his final video feature the room all tidied up?

How about in December doing a musical advent calendar where different drawers and cubby holes reveal various Christmas based items?  Obviously we would need a a different Christmas tune every day? ;D ;D ;D

I don't know much either, other than Dennis Crowther was a singer, poet and mouth-organ player from south Shropshire. He died in 2008. John Kirkpatrick recorded his playing - three of his tunes: Dennis Crowther's Nos. 1 2 and 3, appear in JK's tunebook 'Opus Pocus'.

And he lived in the village of Clee Hill just outside Ludlow, hence his No. 1 sometimes being referred too a Clee Hill. Spookily he was still alive and living in Clee Hill when I commuted through the village for two months whilst training at the radar station on top of Clee Hill in 1971. If I only knew then what I know now  :(

Thought I'd have a go at something where I wasn't just 'oom-pahing' through the basses and came up with this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQyJ34cFkL8&feature=plcp

Swaggering Boney, which I always thought was a Fieldtown tune, but a bit of research suggests it might be Longborough?

Needs some work yet...

I really liked this - you play with such power and drive - it sounded to me very similar to Ollie's style of playing.  Am still trying to work out what it is that produces this great effect - apart from natural talent of course (:).

And for something completely different...since hearing the Old Lancashire Hornpipe on the Spiers & Boden Tunes CD I have wanted to have a go - there is something about the odd rhythm that is very appealing.  (Warning - not a complete newbie, but a beginner attempt.  Will I still be able to use this as an excuse 10 years down the track? ::))
