Thanks, ukebert, I signed up to follow you. I'm @Teclista1685.

I've gotten tons of satisfaction from Twitter in another walk of life but not yet with musical people. Still hoping for Melnetters!

I'm on as @oread_uk, but really spend most of my time on Twitter managing my Morris side's (Boggart's Breakfast) twitter account @Boggarts_brkfst.

I'm not on twitter - is it useful or just sociable?

(Given that I'm not presently in the market for a box  (:)  )

PS Theo did you get that 24 button concertina?

No it went over my bidding limit, as most concertinas do on ebay!

I confine my tweets to comments on "She was a sweet little dickie bird"  ;)

I can't yet cope with the torrent of text that comes at me on Facebook  :Ph

I must admit I use Twitter quite a lot to keep in touch with friends about various hobbies, so much so that I have different accounts to keep all the conversations tidy as I have a finite amount of brain for such things.  Melodeon playing has now graduated to having its own account - so when I am good enough to be a famous melodeonist and have my own albums out, that's the place to go (ha ha) but for the moment it'll be what I'm up to and what videos I have uploaded lately etc.  Melodeon-related musings.  I haven't quite finished setting it up yet, but do follow me if you wish.  At some point I will follow those here present, when I've got a moment to put them all on.

Perhaps putting your twitter handle in the member properties would be a good idea? I put mine in my custom title.

Why not a good idea? It's as public there as anywhere on the forum. I'm already using my custom title.

Oh sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick there.  I thought you meant putting it in my Personal Text was a bad idea. All OK in the end.
Yes, for those interested in knowing what we are talking about, there are a couple of free text fields in the Profile (see Profile/Modify Profile/Forum Profile) that affect what comes up with your avatar on the left of your posts; the Personal Text box comes up under your picture, and the Custom Title box comes up under your username.  Ideal places to put little nuggets like your Twitter username.  :)

I found Twitter boring and gave up.  :Ph

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.
