Yankee Doodle Dandy

Looks and sounds like it's a doddle to play, but there appears to be a title typo on your blog.

Yankee Doddle Dandy
Here's my take on it. http://youtu.be/ZeE_uCcUtK4  (Not as good as the master's)
I hope it's ok to add to this page if not just let me know and I remove it.

Swaggering Boney - Kirtlington

The ABC for this doesn't match what you're playing in the B part. I think you might've used the Longborough version.

In the Toyshop

Hiya Lester

I think I'm safe in saying that this tune was introduced to the folk world by myself and concertina player, Roger Edwards, in the early-mid 1970s. We found it on an LP of fairground organ music, taught it to flower & frolics and many of our contemporaries and the rest, as they say, is history.

Your version shows signs of the natural evolution of tunes passed via the aural tradition but most definitely the same tune.

Nice to hear it again.

In which case, thank you very much, one of my favourite tunes  (:)
