Tea with Alice

This tune is used as the intro and outro to Alice Fraser's excellent podcast Tea with Alice. According to Alice the tune comes from a cassette of her mother's band where it tops and tails a rendition of The Doffing Mistress.

What box is that? Looks like a Hohner Erica from the 60s but with new wooden casing?

It started life as a Double Ray 12 bass, basically the same casework as an Erica but with staggered basses

It had bad celluloid which I stripped and then sanded and varnished the casework. In addition I rebuilt the bass keyboard to have melodeon shaped layout. The chords are thirdless.

It's disgustingly awesome! Very well done. (:)

I like this one a lot. But I always wondered what the title means. The installation of a new monarch or other official? A construction project of some sort?

Could it be your voluptuous knees?  You old saucepot!

Elderly amateur musician hoping to stave off dementia by learning to play the melodeon.  Main instrument a Tommy, also D/G and G/C pokerworks,  a single row 2 stop Hohner, and a new addition to the free reedery, a rather splendid Paolo Soprani four voice 120 bass c-system chromatic button accordion.  Very shiny, very loud, and about the same size and weight as a small car.  Now I’ve traded me Benny with (ahem) a cash adjustment, to a three voice 60 bass Castagnari K3.
