I know this is a stupid question gang.
But how do you use quotes to identify the bit you are replying to?
Also what does MAD stand for?

There are several waysctobuse quotes:

1simplest is to click on "quote" instead of reply and the previous message the gets included in the message composition box enclosed in
Code: [Select]
[quote][/quote] tags.

You can edit the quoted text to leave just the part you want to comment on.

2 while editing you can scroll down to see all previous messages and can quote any of them by clicking on the "insert quote" link.

Have a play in the sandbox to see how it works.

MAD = Melodeon Acquisition Disease. It is highly infection, but only endangers life if your wife/husband/partner threatens you with a sharp object having discovered that you have bought yet another one!

To use a quote when you have already begun to write a reply, scroll down to the message you want to quote and click the "Insert Quote" button on the right-hand side. If you don't want the entire quote, just highlight and delete the bits you don't want after you have inserted the entire quote into your message.

There are several waysctobuse quotes:  simplest is to click on "quote" instead of reply ...

I've used cut/paste to clarify the order of contribution and (importantly IMHO) also cut out extraneous text to get "to the essence" of the thread. Lazy quoting of a page of quotes .. of quotes .. of quotes is a bad habit in forums - some (eg google's) won't let you do it. Happy quoting  :|glug
