Dunno, but it's a nice piece of Cajun playing. Just remember to close your eyes, or look away from the television (the ad is awful  :|bl ). Just listen to the sound!

Most probably sourced from a library of music from performers, some famous, some not. I used to have an evening in a studio now and again just making up and playing jingles etc. I left the copyright etc to the studio to work out and just took a recording fee. So was never credited with the music apart from one track that was used on a Line dancing (spit) compilation. These libraries are bread and butter for the small studios.

Yes, I once had an arrangement like that with a small studio in France - which in the end wasn't hugely convenient as I was living in the UK at the time!

Newly acquired G/C Hohner Viktoria. Also Fender Jazz bass, Telecaster, Stratocaster, Epiphone Sheraton, Charvel-Jackson 00-style acoustic guitar, Danelectro 12-string and other stuff..........

This lovely bit of `Cajun music caught my attention, and I'm enjoying listening to it each time the damned advert comes on....rather than grunting with annoyance as we usually do.

The DFS advert often has some great music too...I first heard Music for a Found Harmonium one Christmas holiday! Other than that...all adverts are cr*p!

Along with the go compare advert the 118 must be a couple of the most purile adds on the box, but in the past something different, which this music will be for a lot of people will have a knock on effect. So  the cajun box will have a good airing and a bit of a revival this side of the pond. Time to advertise those old 4 stops you have stashed away after you went through the cajun phase. I could get the sound but could never conquer the style. Too many jigs and reels embedded in my makeup, so until somebody finds a way to format my brain and delete some of the useless stuff I never play anymore. Cajun is something I listen too, but shall never be able to play.

Oh and 118, I am still not inclined to use the service.

That's Nolan Cormier playing and, uh, braying.  Not exactly sure where the tune originated, but I think was first recorded as the Mardi Gras Jig by Aldus Roger, then Nolan re-recorded it, added some donkey sounds, called it the Heehaw Breakdown, and it became an instant local hit.

Here's the whole song.

If anyone wants to try the tune, it's played in F on a C accordion.
