Starting the new year - a pleasant afternoon with Nick C-B
« on: January 01, 2013, 07:49:38 PM »

Just spent a pleasant and genial New Year's Day afternoon in the company of Nick Collis-Bird, of this parish, discussing leatherworking, melodeons and a great many other things besides. Learnt how to sharpen and use a couple of paring knives - one of which now sports a rather smart leather handle - and a bunch of demos of related activities from a man well skilled in the art.
Maybe more for concertina than melodeon bellows, but most instructive either way.

A few tunes and a beer to finish off as the sun went down over Swanage Bay. Very pleasant start to the year.

Best wishes for the new year to all.

I'm extremely envious. It's one of my favourite places and in the wonderful company of NCB.  :|glug
