Parigi diatonic accordeons
« on: January 22, 2013, 11:56:32 PM »

Having just bought one of these used I am wondering what anyone knows about them. My research suggests that they were made by Bompezzo (spelling?) and sold under the Parigi name. I must say I am very happy with it, very nice to play (G/C). Here is an early recording of a tune I am just learning, the LMM sound seems to work well for French music.

If its made by Bompezzo (Brandoni Basically) then it`ll be an excellent box up there with the top names

I have seen a few of them, everytime what i assume is their student-model or something. Only slightly more expensive than a new Pokerwork, but not much better either. I dont knw anything about their better models (i assume yours is better as it has 3 voices to start with)

I seem to remember Theo saying somewhere that Parigi was a French Shop and the box he had for sale at the time was a Bompezzo - if it is a shop then they could be badging anything from Scarlatti cheapos to Bompezzo and Polverini`s best so the name wouldn`t be anything to go by. There`s of course nothing to stop Bompezzo making Pokerwork or Morgane level boxes as well as the Saltarelle / Serenellini contenders
