Was this me by any chance?

Sadly no. It's all Ann's fault  ;)

heap the blame on me ..... I've broad shoulders ( and hips to match )  ;D

... and a nice line in introspective, complex, unknown tunes played on the concertina  >:E

Still squeezing after all these years.
Mostly on hohners , with a couple of Dinos and a smattering of anglos - and now a Jeffries duet

They are next to each other, beside the West Cliff car park.  Altitude difference negligible.

I must respectfully disagree Theo. The difference must be at least 6 feet, and Pikey is not as young as he was.  ;D

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

6 feet altitude difference is nothing in Whitby.

Agreed... especially when you've turned 60!  :'(
Still well worth the effort to attend such a wonderful festival   8)

Flee (at more than 4mph ) to avoid......

...... the melodeon hordes sweeping down from the east (side)   ......   >:E :||: :|||:

... the musician came down like a wolf on the fold and his melodeon was gleaming in purple and gold

\i can now confirm that I will be doing 3 or 4 DG beginners  linked workshops and probaly an intermediate on ''playing in A on a DG  box'' as well as running a couple of sessi  ons    (any instrument)  ''wwell known tunes at a steady pace''  All will probably be in the Middle Earth.
