More Clubs for the "Club club"
« on: December 11, 2008, 10:37:38 PM »

Gosh I love these things!  :D  I'm ready to mug somebody to get mine shined up and ready to play!

Given all the recent discussion about Club system play and the thread on international melodeon music, I thought I would offer some possibilities in the Recordings and Videos forum.

From Brazil, youtube user "aabuaabu" who is another South American proponent of the Club system.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VAXhJIhqTMU (is it just me or his second octave slightly flat?)

And a nice demonstration of the many capabilities of the Morino Club (although retuned GCF).  Really cool coupler combinations, sounds like 4 different boxes.  Hohner was in a different league back then!  Cassotto and everything.. there's another interesting video on this user's channel of the same player playing Vallenato on a Martin one-row box.

Thanks for the links, the sound tickled my ears, so good..."aristocrats of excellence" might aptly name name the people who made these instruments and those that play them so well....
