Steve kindly let me video himself playing East Anglian tunes on a Castagnari Max for my YouTube channel.  Hopefully this link will work ???

Thanks for the accolade Darren!
However, I am highly self-critical and viewing the videos retrospectively, there are several areas where I could improve my playing. Apart from the obvious stumbles (nerves!), I find in many cases that I am starting the tunes too fast and I do tend to speed up fractionally during the course of the tune, caused mainly by rushing into the next bar at the ends of phrases.  And even though I like to think that I play crisply and rhythmically, my own playing on these videos is far too legato for my liking.

I am quite used to playing in public for dancing, in sessions and in ceilidh bands; even solo on stage sometimes. But this video session was a truly scary experience; nowhere to hide, just you and your playing. There is much I can learn from this, so thanks Darren for giving me the opportunity so publicly!

Steve,
I know that you are a humorous guy and appreciate that smiling wrecks the embouchure when playing woodwinds but you are playing a melodeon and your performance is good enough for you to look like you are enjoying yourself, which I'm sure you are.
The East Anglian guys played because they wanted to, so relax a bit although Dazbo with a camera is a frightening apparition. ;)

I'm sure he was frozzen daft as he appears to be wearing his scarf .

Great playing . Nice to see Wells Waltz . Played that in katie Howson's workshop in MAW 2005 .
