I've got all sorts: there's a recording of it here:

Awesome stuff Ian, a lovely tune tastefully played. I've joined the Smiffs site hoping to find a CD full of same.

I'll never be rich.  ::)

Pete.

There are quite a lot of our tunes on the website, but no CD -- I originally did them as a resource for budding Smiffs musicians wanting to learn the tunes, but then thought we might as well make them available to everyone. I tried to keep them simple for learning purposes so I missed out most of the ornamentation I normally do when actually playing, but I couldn't play Serpentiner dead straight if you nailed my feet to the floor :-)

You won't be able to join the Yahoo group, it's members only -- we use if for all internal email distribution, and a lot of this is *definitely* not for public consumption!

Cheers

Ian

P.S. If you want to use them for learning you can download the MP3 files instead of repeatedly playing them from the website and using up bandwidth.

several letters  on subject of Morris Dancing in tomorrows (10 jan) (London) Times. Including one by me!!

george

Morris 18-30 have been unusually quiet in all this ? They are young, fit and thriving and pretty good dancers too ( ... well, some of them...)  Yes, I know it's not a side as such but the "18-30" monker should have been able to get some publicity out of all this... or perhaps The Ring wanted to give the impression of it dying out purely for the sake of some publicity.. What do they say, all publicity is good publicity..

That's me chucked out now... !
