I had a c+/d primatona, 4 voice and definitely original tuning...

Yep, the August 1964 Hohner Accordions catalogue lists both the Primatona IV (at £44 ,, 10s) and Amatona IV de Luxe (£54 ,, 5s) in B/C, C/C#, C#/D or D/D#.

It's amazing, the sixties seem like yesterday to me. My first  Pokerwork. There was no choice then, cost about £50.00 GBP brand new. Mind you, a second hand Morris Minor car cost about the same amount .

My memory is that they cost about £20.00 around 1972, but I was a student then and couldn't afford one. Bell's were selling them for £16 ,, 11s ,, 6d in 1962 (but only in C/C#) but (strangely enough) they aren't listed in the 1964 Hohner catalogue, though an Erica (also only available in C/C#) was £19 ,, 10s. By 1968 Bell's were selling an Erica (still only in C/C#) for £21 ,, 16s ,, 6d, but still no Pokerwork...

Surely an example of "if you can remember the sixties then you weren't there"

Ninety something pounds in 1980 for a Pokerwork from Hobgoblin, or just over £100 for an Erica.  Erica had accidentals, Pokerwork low notes.  Straps not included with either, but the Erica had the brackets ready fitted.
