Grenoble improvisation course
« on: December 04, 2013, 08:46:07 AM »

Pignol and Milleret are well enough known here but there will be 6-7 trainers. But this isn't about melodeons or even learning tunes, sometimes not even about music. Chichilianne is a tiny hamlet about 40km south of Grenoble, dominated by a wacky mountain and generally free of snow by March. The week runs in its hostel. Open to all chromatic capable instruments; melodeon-wise that's 2½+ rows recommended.

2-8 March 2014 (stage = 'course'; Solfage notation generally used except for chords)
€570 incl course, hostel accommodation, meals (good :D) and vin de table

Wow! What a beautiful place! Who wouldn't enjoy a sojourn there! Looks like the mountain from 'Close Encounters'!
I'm planning on attending a stage or two in a year (or two). Bob.

Is that the other side of the weird sugarloaf mountain you can see from Grenoble city centre?

Awkward time of year for me, unfortunately.

I can't figure out how to quit but I will no longer check this group and have deleted all shortcuts to it.

Probably a bit far off, but if you can see it from there … yup it's the other side. You are just one pass away from either Drôme, or Provence, (depending on how you point the sat nav)  ;)

If anyone is into Rhône wines, the Salon de Vins at Tain l'Hermitage is the preceding Saturday, sometimes it is on your natural travel weekend and is excellent, taste 40-50 decent N Rhônes for €8 or so, often free! I blagued my way to a glass of la Chapelle one year!

.. but then you need a hotel ::)
