BC Teacher needed in Liverpool
« on: June 27, 2013, 09:59:19 AM »

Hi everyone

I have been trying to teach myself for about a year now, but I feel I may be picking up some bad habits and could do with a little guidance, is anyone based near or in Liverpool who can help?

Due to circumstances it is very difficult for me to travel out of Liverpool at the moment.

Thanks a lot!

If your cirumstances change sufficiently to permit a day trip to Anglesey  I  can do 'one off' lessons.

- Chris, its mostly things like dealing with the air valve efficently and how to get the most out of bass and chord buttons really. These are the bits I am struggling with as even with gentally tapping the air valve my box makes a noticable gasp. I find when using the bass or chord buttons I run out of bellows space very quickly too.

- George, thanks I will be in touch if I am able to get over to you at any point!

Out of curiosity, do you mind if I ask what make your box is?

I believe there is quite a big Irish community in Liverpool, so there should be a good number of BC players there.   A good starting point for information would be Liverpool Comhaltas who do list button accordion among the instruments the have tuition for.
