OK, how about we say that we can have toddlers with me and Lester, and LDT and Steve Freereader can look after the Juniors (last year's toddlers) in the pub?  I doubt we can do more than 2 sessions at once.

Seems OK to me!

Sounds excellent to me Strig, that way we can cater for a new intake along with last year's toddlers, without everyone falling over each other, musically or literally.

If I'm entirely honest I also quite liked the 'in the pub' bit too.

Strig, I know you are a one-woman organising machine and you have LDT to help you but if I can be of assistance I'd be happy to help out with stuff.

As a fairly new player I would be interested...but whereabouts would this happen (I'm in Somerset)?

It's held at The Fleece Inn  in Breforton, Evesham.

Does anyone know if the camping space will stretch to campervans and caravans?

Dunny had a camper van there last year
There is a field out the back of the pub, but it was wet and muddy - the weather was not nice! Also a big dip/puddle to negotiate on the way in. Don't recall much hardstanding. I think people had to be towed off?

I would like to bring my camper but I wouldn't want to put it on the field unless well dry. (October???)

I just drove up for the first day.

I think late October would be good - maybe the third weekend?
Also we would not be able to run a Fri or Sat sesh in the pub I don't think, as it gets really busy inside even in the Autumn. I'll ask Nigel the landlord to be sure. I'm happy to help re sessions  (:)

It may be a bit problematic to run two groups at once then.  Unless you can suggest a second room?

Regarding only having the one room, perhaps we could have the Saturday session being toddlers and the Sunday session being Juniors, with the option that people can come to the other one to act as an observer if they want?

I think there was talk of playing for dance on the Sunday as well, which would of couse be outdoors if the weather is kind.

I've spoken with landlord Nigel, and he has offered the use of his marquee. The cost element for marquee and barn will not be excessive but I'll get a ballpark figure.

Nigel has also offered camping and I'll firm up how many tents/caravans/campers there will be room for. As Malcolm said the possible problem there will be the wet!

I'll also liaise with Nigel re dates

So............... it looks like we're on for two workshops and a two dayer  ;D

That sounds good.  It's a long way for many of us to come for one day so having the barn and marquee over two days makes more sense from that point of view.

I know it was very wet last year but that was a whole month later in the year that we are proposing for this year and as I recall it was freak weather even then - much more extreme than is usual for the time of year.

Like Malcolm I  got a badge last year, I trust there will be 2nd year badges this year for us returning juniors?  (:)

Excellent - thanks for all your work on this.
I presume you are still looking at the third weekend in October, i.e. Sat/Sun 19th-20th? It is pencilled in my diary awaiting confirmation.

Good job, team!  Yes, there can be badges.  :)  Perhaps you may like to think about a design?

Yay!  I can do that if you like? Unless LDT wants to do them again?
