I'm completely cool about putting "Wirral" in my profile, if you want the street number you'll have to get to know me!  BTW the sessions here are pretty poor, hence I travel.

with the Pin thing you don't necessarily have to pin it exactly to your house. Anywhere in the general area of your town works just as well. The good thing is that it finds the nearest sessions or members or whatever with one search instead of having to type in different town names or county names etc.

Also just like writing Wirral in your profile this is completely optional

That's a good idea, a vague pinning in your vicinity. I only really found out I was near several mel.net members through arriving at sessions and them being there and recognising them. The other option could be a facebook group for melnet members? (As many people already have their vague location on there?) Jus' sayin tis all!  :D

There already is one - although its main function seems to be for members to comment on the (rare) occasions when melnet is down  :|||:

Tell please. I've a FB group to tell people that Melnet is "up" and a merger would seem sensible.  :|glug

Aha - then there are two. The one I was thinking of is just called melnet and consists almost entirely of a handful of the usual suspects asking if melnet is down  ;) :||:

I may be suspect but I am definitely unusual.

Melnet. I started it quite some time ago when it was suggested in a thread. Never really took off and is rarely used. I've no idea how to merge groups but if you can assimilate it go ahead!
