The Melodeon Tutor now available online!
« on: September 21, 2012, 04:58:20 PM »

Hi all.

i hope this finds you well.

Finally I have managed to set up a website so that one can buy The Melodeon Tutor book online instead of messing about with emails back and forth and all that malarky!

http://www.spinningpathmusic.co.uk/

I'm more than happy to ship worldwide you'll just need to check with me for the postage to lands outside the UK using err... emails back and forth and all that malarky. Ah...

Hi Miklos

Well, it's not a tune book as such, but the tunes I have used are there to introduce progressive techniques

Winter Gallop
Dorset 4 Hand Reel
Buffalo Gals
Donkey Riding
South Australia
Market Rasen Quickstep
Buttered Peas
Banbury Bill
Salmon Tails
Cock O' The North
Swaggering Boney
Twinkle Twinkle
The Tars of The Victory
The Burnt Potato
The Redesdale
Click Go The Shears
Jenny Lind
Jack O' Robinson
Captain Lanoes Quickstep
Soldier's Joy
Tavern In The Town
The Man Who Broke The Bank at Monte Carlo
Oats, Peas and Beans
Ship Ahoy!
The Bear Dance
The Sweets of May
Jump At The Sun (by kind permission of John Kirkpatrick)
A Warterloo Dance
The Bluebell Polka
Durham Rangers

Blimey!

That's enough to be going on with

If you buy it in summer, you get the Winster Gallop instead.

(PS In part, yes, it IS what I do for a living.)

Might I commend Ed's newish Tutor. The best Melodeon Tutor I have ever read and definitely worth the extra money for accompanying DVD which really clearly shows fingering on both hands at the same time. A "proper job". For those new to the D/G  instrument, Ed's notation system really is "Easy-Peazy" and the tutor goes from basics up to cross-row playing seamlessly.
