This has been a fun TOTM for me. Here is another effort https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md7JyYcQMa0.

Playing with me is my tutor, Guus Herremans, who just celebrated his 18th birthday. I wish I had all of his hair and even a tiny bit of his talent. I've been working on Le Lac for a year. Guus had played it for about ten minutes before we launched into this rendition. He is a great musician who covered my fumbles and did the arrangement and variations on the fly.

We recorded this among many new but very dear friends at my Ghent good bye party. It has been a magical summer.

That was absolutely splendid (:) - really enjoyable to watch and it sounded great.  I liked the hoof from Guus towards the end ;D.

Yes, it does look as if he's kicking me off stage. I was having way too much fun and might still be playing had he not signaled the last round.

And perhaps sleeping in the shape of a pretzel? It is brutally short.

Well, I have a swollen neck -- as I understand it, a Flemish idiom for being entirely too full of oneself.

Pascale Rubens posted a comment on my latest Le Lac de St Croix.  Rather than a scolding for what I had done to her tune, which my very first effort certainly deserved, she commented favorably on this version.

How will I ever squeeze through the apartment door?

Here is my offering. I tried the gentle approach several times but it just sounded like I was being tentative and that I hadn't got the rhythm, so in the end just stuck in a more definite left hand and stopped trying too hard on the RH. The little gap at 0:15 was me trying to find the blimmin LH buttons, which are quite small and spread out on a Corona.

All done with this one for the month folks; well done everyone! It took me a while to get my head round it, but it was definitely worth it - a lovely tune. Any late contributions; just stick them on the end here - always welcome.

Cheers,

Clive

Many thanks for your kind words. I am currently wielding a 1960(?)'s G/C Busilacchio which I am trying to get into a decent playing condition with the help of Rob from the Birmingham Accordion Centre,
