Ok, here we go - Ascott Under Wychwood first  (a great tradition if danced more like Longborough than Headington!), Mrs. Casey

Swiftly followed by some great tunes from Longborough - played faster than I would for dancing. The best tradition ever, when done properly, slowly, and vigourously - look up Old Spot on Youtube to see how it should be danced. Too many sides try and make it into Bledington, which is similar, but not the same!

These are great, Pikey - thanks for posting - they are a great learning aid for an aspiring Morris musician (:)
(Although see post in Teaching and Learning about how you are doing some of it!)

Brough of this parish on melodeon, me joining in a bit later on English concertina. It was a practice night so it was the full tune with slows, not the best recording quality I'm afraid.  :|bl

Particularly liked 'Go enlist' Pikey; sounded wonderfully like two instruments playing...

Here's a lazy one . . . in my defence I'm having computer problems and recording anything is nigh on impossible.

I recorded these some time ago https://soundcloud.com/#martin-ellison/william-nancy-shooting-bean.

William & Nancy/Shooting/Bean Setting - I have no idea which tradition they're from and very much suspect that I've mixed traditions, they've just been around in my head for decades.

Played on my trusty Hohner Pokerwork in C/F.

Very nicely played Martin. No doubt Lester will be along to slap my wrist if I get this wrong but William and Nancy is a Bledington tune, the version of Shooting you played is from Adderbury and Bean Setting is from Headington. I don't think it really matters that you mixed traditions up in such an entertaining morris medley.

No slapped wrist for the tradition identifying but of course the Adderbury tune's name is Beaux of London City, not Shooting  >:E

I did say the tune Shooting was from Adderbury.  8) The naming of these tunes - Beaux of London City (Adderbury) and Beaux of London City (Badby) caused me no end of problems when trying to track down the dots for Adderbury Shooting and Badby Shooting which of course are the dance names not the tunes!

Yer slipping anyway Lester, I deliberately didn't credit Bean Setting to Headington Quarry . . .  ;D

<Morris Pedant>
The dances are not called Shooting they are called Beaux of London City, they may be know as Shooting but it is a nickname, like Signposts for Shepherds Hey Field Town,
