Lester, you really need to visit my local side. Sample gloriously good pub food and the mineral water of your choice whilst lecturing them in the errors of their ways. It's just a guess but I think you may go home a sadder and wiser man.  :M  :|glug

Glad that's sorted out. :Ph My fiddler, Maija, stopped by today for a bit of practice, and we had just recently started to play this set. I thought it might be fun to record, and insert into the ToTM. I'm certain that there is everything wrong with it, but fortunately, the locals are clueless. Here's a rough and
almost-ready version of Princess Royal/Unfortunate Tailor. I am playing the ADG proto-Corona.

That's a really nice set well played. And it sounds like you were having fun too.

A few more:

Bampton Highland Mary - in the style for Woodleys men, with a strong emphasis on the start of the bar to match the early hand flick:

Followed by the Buffoon (another Bampton dance)

Here's an unusual one - Moncks March from Longborough. It's a heel and toe dance, not often seen.

So do I! I've not heard of it before but it's a very old tune. I don't like the chords given here but I'll leave them in as it's possible that my abc software is misinterpreting something.

Here it is in two sharps. The chords are behaving now, ABC Explorer gets in a tizzy now and again.

Here we go, another outing for the Hohner Preciosa in Bb/Eb, this time (unlike Le Lac...) making full use of the customised bass setup.

Saturday Night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elj6QEatZ0g

Recorded on Sunday night, but hey. I learned this from the playing of Chris Wood, and this version is mixolydian I believe.

One more go at this theme. I recorded this a couple of years ago, and just decided to re-record it because it's a very cool tune; Skirmish by Nick Barber, played on the curvy green bling box.

Shave the Donkey, for the Bampton dance Step and Fetch Her.

https://soundcloud.com/concertinist/shave-the-donkey

I play this for my boys on concertina; as a relatively new melodeonists I've been reluctant to subject them to the vagaries of my playing on box. But one of these days I'll bring it to practice.

Played here on a Dino Baffetti Black Pearl Special D/G
