Search box
« on: January 23, 2009, 09:20:56 AM »

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this question but, how does the search box work? I have just inserted BCC# to see what info' is already available on the forum before posting a question which may have tons of previous entries and irritate everybody who has taken the trouble to post on the subject. I got a nil responsefrom my search, I know that there is stuff here because I have seen it before, so what am I doing wrongly oh great minds.

Hi Mike

This is the correct place to ask your question

I've just searched for BCC#  and found two pages of hits!

I made no changes to any of the other boxes, eg you must leave * in the box labelled 'by user' if you want to search all posts

You have to use the Search box on the Forum Home page to search the whole forum. If you're already looking at a specific topic, using the Search box there (looks the same) will only search within that topic.
