This is me playing two French Schottisches, please feel free to look at the other videos of me as I'd love some feedback on how I can improve and of what you all think.
With Thanks
Will A.

Thanks

It's better without the black face!  Excellent progress for the time you've been playing - I wish I had your dedication.  The best part of your style (for me, anyway) is that your fingers are dancing, allowing grace notes and decorations to enhance the melody rather than being inserted as an exercise.  Nice variation in the basses too, avoiding the pieces becoming mere repetitions each time around.

Don't ask me how to improve - you're already ahead of me.

Rob.

Oh thank you! I'm actually starting to think more about improvisation around the chords and using right hand rhythm kind of things.
Thanks very much!

Great playing Will!  I think more than a few players could benefit from your advice!

I came second, close second apparently! The winner was a 'generic dude with a guitar' as my cousin said haha

Very nice, and for me the tempo is perfect for dancing.  This is not a tune I play, but I have a feeling you have straightens out on oryx two small parts of the melody and replaced groups of short notes with long.  You might want to try playing it slower to help get those details back in.  A French style Scottische really needs to keep the Dagadagadaga--Dagadagadaga--Dagadagadaga--Dagadagadaga--
feel going.

Thank you I'll try that, I used to play it more like a Morris so maybe I should go back to that rhythmic style again
