French field recording #11 - la bourrée de Morvan

Morvan is the hilly part of Burgundy and very wooded. As France's "Shropshire" it does everything differently, and simpler.

I picked a demo session as there is no dance on the (single page or internet  ;) ) programme here, and i wanted differences clear. The music is often raucous, traditionally gurdy and G pipes. there is only one cross, you dance ages on the spot. In some (not here), you do a little "pick up" of your lady as next repeat starts. As in Auvergne, the "chavaliers" (men) stamp a bit. Fred Jordan would have enjoyed this.
