this atelier taught polka variations, mainly for A music. Nice set of examples down the far end with everyone different!

I have to say that the B part looks a bit odd, these pairs just skip round rather than "polka". I've never personally had problems doing a faster (per music) and tighter polka á l' anglaise … including dancing with several of the Chavannée ladies. But the may have just been super followers? Can any UK females offer experience from the other side of the dance?

I would not be surprised if there were an east west gradient in style (guessing). But it has always been tighter, and (wrt play) a bit faster than ours, and they turn more, as ever. Big strides won't get you a second dance ;)
