Bielbie's hornpipe?
« on: August 11, 2013, 08:20:40 PM »

Hi All,
Having spent odd moments in the Radway at Sidmouth, I've come back wanting to learn Bilebie's Hornpipe. It was played a few times and I really want to learn it!
I've delved into my 'Hardcore English' and it has a version there, and compairing it to Ed Rennie's rendition on Youtube, the Hardcore version seems a bit over complex.
There are versions in JC's tunefinder but not sure which one to go for.
Has anyone a version either in abc or dots that they consider the current session version?
thanks all

I think I'm starting to get most of the notes in roughly the right order...... sometimes!

ChrisP: that's perfect!
The other one played in the set was the Kirkgate HP so I think you've given me the lot in one post!
....and a video of the set being played - Brilliant.
many thanks

I'm fairly certain that it's in Matt Seattle's green book. I'll have a look after work & compare it to what you've already got.
