Hi

I've posted a new blog today for When The Boat Comes In. I learnt this tune partially inspired by Lester's version on his Tune-A-Day project and also as a result of the release of the song by The Fishwives Choir. Their beautiful version brings in elements of several folk tunes plus Eternal Father ("For those in peril on the sea") and proceeds from their single/album will go to the Fisherman's Mission charity. The choir was formed by my friend Jane Dolby whose own husband was lost at sea in 2008. I worked with her on a similar charity project in 2006.
