Some possible must-haves:

A Stroh violin, or other items from the Stroh Catalog, and a little something for the audience.

I love steampunk myself.  If I had the time to add a new hobby I'd make things.  As it is, I'm having enough trouble finishing all the knitting, crochet and embroidery I've already entered for classes at a show this Saturday...

I do tend to go for the "little match girl" style of clothes quite a lot.  Headscarf, ankle-length skirt, stripey socks and stout boots.  :)

Some possible must-haves: A Stroh violin

Yeah definitely, it was this pic of Noura Sanatian that led me to the Clockwork Quartet.

I tried violin lessons once, but it was so dang uncomfortable, I had to give up.

But maybe the Stroh cello...

...or a theremin cello. I bet I could join any Steampunk band I wanted if I could find one of those.

Steampunk or no?

No way, where are the ray guns?  :-\

No, not steam punk.

Where is the modern/future tech with fun stereotypical Victorian styling.

So do you ever dress in the right 'era' to reflect the heyday of the melodeon? Almost like historical re-enactment. I wonder if it affect posture and how you hold the box etc?

1. I suspect corsetry may do no harm in this but can offer no personal experience
2. I thought that we were living in the heyday of the melodeon ::)
Chris I didn't get to answer you topic on the heyday of melodeon as I think you locked it (?), but I agree that now is the time, much more then victorain times.  (:)

Sorry, the thread had become infested with one liners and hey nonny nonny, and it seemed kindest to put it down.

Yes, this was where the idea started, so no harm done  ;)
