Virtual Melodeon Online
« on: September 19, 2013, 08:27:10 AM »

Hi all:

I just wanted to share with you this new tool I started to use (Not very good at tablature myself) to write melodeon tablatures and see them played. It is possible to write the bass and treble lines and it has some other stuff like different tones, tempo and metronome. Unfortunately it only has the 3 row accordion. I was hoping if some expert members could share some tunes using this format (songs can be shared using a url) for us the newbies that want to learn the accordion. Thanks and I will be posting my tunes if I find out how to write the tablature. The site where this program is available is http://www.virtualmelodeon.com

I found this site while surfing on YouTube. This is the video:

the video is in Spanish but the site is in English as well.

Would you recommend some nice tunes to start?

I found this one which I find awesome:

I'm confused how this works. Can you do anything with it without registering?

It also needs java applets to be able to run.  My browser has managed without these for a long time for other things.

I've been there too, let it run the stuff that it wanted to, then clicked a few buttons. It was able to run a demo tune (from the Help thing top left) which made buttons light up, but a little too quickly to work out what was happening. I can't really see how to load a tune in. Having run the demo no other buttons seem to work.

Further clicks reveal that you need to be registered to play whole songs, use the search tool, and write a song on a cinco letras. You can also save 5 songs if you register. That doesn't seem enough, I have about 500 in my Tunebook app (working my way through patientlyhttp://forum.melodeon.net/Smileys/default/aemo_squeezeyellow2.gif).

But I can't see a way to do anything when unregistered. There's also a forum with one message. I suppose this is a  work in progress or I'm a bit impatient, it might be worth going back in a few weeks.

Oh I see. I didn't try the help (RTFM right?).

Now it looks like a pretty decent tool. There is a scroll bar that adjusts the tempo I see. If other people make them it would be a good way to learn the fingering for a tune especially with cross-rowing as was discussed in another thread lately.
