On my mac I just drag the photo onto the desktop. On a Windows machine right click on the image and you should get Save Image As option unless the website has blocked it.

long press … save image … on this ipad.   Rt click … view image is useful of firefox :|glug

If the site has a "block", rt click and view source from your browser, the "src" of the image will be there, you might have to precede by the site adress as it may be "relative" to that.

If all else fails, ctrl/alt/print screen (together) always copies current window to clipboard, paste it where you will … ;)

If the image is blocked, you should still be able to do it (but be warned that you may be defying copyright if you do).

On Windows or Mac, you should be able to do a screengrab and save it that way. The screengrab utility that came with your computer will probably grab either the current window or the whole screen (some editing may be necessary); a good freeware or shareware screengrab utility should allow you to box-select all or part of what you're seeing.

As for dealing with copyright issues, you're on your own there.
