Hello !  I have just bought a Hohner 114. This cheap melodeon because I have never played accordeon so, I would be very thankfull if you could help for my first steps.
I must say that I don't even know yet in what key is the Hohner.

If you look on the bottom of left hand strap you should see the key of the instrument stamped into the leather. Once you have found that out the keyboard layout is available HERE.

By the way (off topic) that's the first half of a tune on the New Victory Band's Album "One more Dance and Then" where it's called Looking for a Partner and attributed to James Braidwood.
I wonder how that's connected to The Britannia Two Step

The NVB tune sounds very like two different tunes (in different keys) joined together, of which yours is the first.
