Fenwick of Bywell
« on: February 21, 2009, 11:21:57 PM »

Has anybody got the abc or dots for this Northumbrian tune anywhere please? I've tried all over the net, and even in books, but I can't find this tune anywhere. I have an old recording, but I find it difficult to learn from.

Thanks in advance.,
Chris.

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

If you use the first link kindly provided by Lester in How to find tunes  and search for "Fenwick"  you will find abcs for at least half a dozen versions.

Its also in the Northumbrian Pipers (first) Tunebook.

Thanks Theo. I tried JC's, but maybe I tried to be too clever. I'll try just Fenwick as you suggest!
